So one morning I walked downstairs, groggy, and on my way to the kitchen I paused, looking out into the hallway.
“Holy shit! Lookit that!”
And dad gives me a weird look from the computer and goes “What?”
And I tried to explain to him that the quality of light that was falling through the glass door and across the laudry room’s dirty linoleum floor was particularly amazing. And then he just sort of gave me a puzzled look as I went out, picked some crocuses, grabbed a little Irish crystal bud-vase and started taking pictures lying on my belly. Almost late to class from all that, but I had a stupid grin on my face the whole drive to school. And then, so that I could draw from them with the idea still fresh, I incorporated it into a drawing project that we had to do. So. Voila. I swear to God, the way I’m going to die is going to involve me driving in my car and then going “Holy Shit! Lookit the quality of light on the side of that bus!” right before I plow into the car in front of me. Sheesh.
Again, colored pencils on toned paper.
Gorgeous work! Funny where and when you get your inspiration, isn't it!?! I've had my family give me some funny looks from time to time when I get fascinated about something that looks toally uninteresting to them!!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
